Requirements:

Languages:
English

Education:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Food and Sanitation Certificate

Experience:
1 to less than 3 years in a relevant culinary position.

Responsibilities:

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
• Prepare and serve speciality food at customers’ tables, showcasing our culinary expertise.
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
• Describe menu items, including daily specials, to inform and entice customers about our offerings.
• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant dining environment.
• Advise on menu selections, helping guests make informed choices that enhance their dining experience.
• Balance cash and record sales with accuracy and integrity.
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs efficiently, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
• Describe and advise on wine selection, contributing to an enjoyable and comprehensive dining experience.
• Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge. Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, ensuring the best selection is available for our guests.
  §  Serve food and beverages with attention to detail and a commitment to Stellar Kitchen’s standards.
  §  Supervise other servers and bussing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  §  Take orders and accurately relay them to kitchen and bar staff, ensuring each dish is prepared to the guest’s satisfaction.
  §  Schedule staff effectively to meet the demands of the business.
  §  Train staff to uphold the high standards of Stellar Kitchen and to ensure consistent service quality.
  §  Assist clients/guests with special needs, ensuring a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere.
  §  Provide customer service that goes above and beyond to create an exceptional experience for every guest.
  §  Receive payments from customers, handling transactions with care and accuracy.
