Job description

You will be the face of the Subway brand as a Store supervisor. With a winning smile, warmth, and cheerful demeanour, you’ll ensure your crew is motivated and makes fantastic sandwiches quickly, efficiently and exactly how the client wants them! Making fresh, high-quality sandwiches for your customers and inspiring your team to do the same will be fun if you have a positive attitude and appreciate providing excellent customer service.

You will use your initiative to make decisions while managing a shift for this busy crew and enjoying the fast-paced restaurant atmosphere. On your shift, you will love managing customer happiness, product quality, and overall store performance while leading a team.  As a Store Supervisor, you will be a flexible, reliable, and motivated individual, ideally with previous shift management experience.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
  •  Hire food service staff.
  • Ensure food service and quality control.
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
  • Communicates changes in food preparation formulas, standards, etc., to staff.
  • Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.
  • Maintains business records as outlined in the Subway@ Operations Manual: Daily Procedures.
  • Analyzes business records to increase sales.
  •  Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
  •  Plans special events and promotions.
  • Completes the University of Subway@ courses as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: 

  • Completion of secondary school required.
  • Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or several years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
  • Work setting: Food service establishment
  • Work Location:  In person

EXPERIENCE

  • At least two (2) years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.
  • Computer and technology knowledge
  • MS Excel/MS Office/MS Outlook/MS PowerPoint/MS Windows/MS Word
  • Point of sale system
  • Spreadsheet
