Job Brief
We seek a full-time baker to join our Team. Prior experience as a Pastry chef or baker is required. You must have exceptional skill in a wide range of baked delicacies. You should be able to function in a fast-paced setting and be effective, alert, and foresighted

Education
- Completion of secondary school is usually required.
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
- Baking and pastry arts/baker/pastry chef
Experience
- 3 years to less than 5 years
- On-the-job training may be provided.
Work setting: Bake Shop.
Tasks:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods; batters for muffins, cookies and cakes; and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bake mixed doughs and batters.
- Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods.
- Prepare special orders.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Draw up production schedules.
- Train staff
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Schedule staff
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
- Operate machinery.
- Hire and dismiss staff.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Ensure the quality of products meets established standards.

- Must be familiar with using and maintaining equipment and tolls to make baked goods, including mixers, ovens, rolling pins and baking sheets.
